Compatible Winches

Our winch mounts and bumpers are designed to fit up 9,500 lbs winches with a maximum winch height of 6.5" based on the available dimensions and over-all area area of the recessed mounting area. Although, there are many WJ owners out there who have installed 12,500 winches including ourselves. We are running a Superwinch 12,500lbs Talon Series Winch. Please note, with winches ever-growing in design and dimension, it is your responsibility to verify a certain type of winch will fit our plate. Most winches are 6.5" tall with-out the solenoid box. The winch manufacturer website does not list the height of their winch with-out the solenoid. The solenoid will be mounted in a different location, which we discuss in our instruction manual.  Most winches are equipped with steel cable and roller fairleads. We recommend you purchase a synthetic rope and fair lead hawse to match the hidden winch mount look. If you prefer the wire cable, that will also work with a roller fairlead. Current owners of our products have installed Warn winches, Smittybilt, Rough Country, Superwinch, Badlands (except APEX 12,000), ironman4x4 America just to name a few.
