Our radiator skid plate is called "The GateKeeper" because it acts as a gate between the rocks and your radiator support bar/radiator. This item is compatible with both our bumper and our hidden winch mount if you are running the winch mount with or with-out a bumper fascia.
The skid plate is constructed from 1/4" x 4" plate which runs across from left to right and curves up and bolts to bumper plate with two 3/8" x 1" Grade-8 bolts on each side (drilling of four 7/16" holes required.
Updated version: The seven slot design is constructed from eight 1.5" x .095 DOM Tubes, welded from the bottom plate to the upper mounting plate and bolts to your winch mounting point. The old design was 1.5" x .120 DOM tubes causing too much weight. With eight tubes welded to upper and lower plates, the .120 was overkill and not required.

Description
Through testing and banging on a few rocks we came to learn that the radiator support bar on the WJ is made of bread. Literally, thin sheet metal which can be damaged and moved by the slightest impact. We have redesigned our radiator skid plate a few times since our Overland Bumper release in December 2015 and have finally come to a design that is satisfactory and actually serves a purpose.
With our bumpers providing the perfect approach angle and strong mounting points, which reach all the way back near the sway bar bolts, it was imperative the radiator skid plate served a purpose as equal to the bumper.
The actual skid plate which covers the bottom of the radiator support bar is made of 1/4" steel plate by 4" wide. The plate bends around and up the radiator support bar to reach our bumper and it mounts to the bumper. This mounting supports the underside of the skid plate for impacts where the Jeep falls from an obstacle onto an object such as a rock. The front of the skid plate is supported by eight DOM Tubes. If you are not a fan of the seven slot design, we have the optional "GateKeeper III" which does not have the tubes.
The point of the radiator support skid plate is to provide a gate between your radiator and the rock, a gate which is impassable.

Glissade - Rocker Replacement Sliders for the Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ (1999 - 2004).
Currently only available for the WJ. These rock sliders are built for extreme off-roading situations (see video for demo). Used as sliders to get over obstacles and steps to make it easier to reach your roof from the side of your vehicle. Cutting of the outer rocker panel is required. You DO NOT need to cut the pinch seam nor do they mount to the pinch seam. The pinch seam is NOT used in this application. Once you cut out the outer rocker panel, the pinch seam is bent upwards using a pair of heavy duty pliers or pipe wrench. We have a youtube video below showing what to cut and you can do this in your driveway with an extra pair of helping hands.
We considered several important factors when designing our rock sliders. 1) By the time a WJ owner decides it's time for rock sliders, your rocker panels are either destroyed from offroading or rusted away from road salt. Our mounting system utilizes areas where most rockers panels are still in tact and strengthen the rocker area of your WJ. 2) High clearance! 3) Quality Build with quality steel. These are not cheap and building them takes quite the work.

One very important detail: these plates are plasma cut on a plasma cnc. Plasma is basically a flame melting through the metal. The cuts are not 100% perfect like laser or waterjet cutting. A lot more 4x4 owners nowadays are purchasing 2x6 tubes and welding them in the place of their rockers or building their own rock sliders, but taking many shortcuts in design. We've decided to become your supplier for the 2x6 tubes for every do-it-your-selfer out there who would like to build their own. From Jeep Cherokees, Grand Cherokees, Wranglers, Toyota Tacomas, FJ Cruisers, 4-Runners etc. We DO NOT provide any instructions on how to weld these sliders or where to cut on your vehicle. This is 100% do-it-yourself kit, all we're doing is supplying the steel with the double tapered ends finished and the high-lift jacking notches under the slider welded in.
If you need frame kickers we can provide those as well for an extra charge at $16 per kicker. The frame kickers will be 1" x 2" x .120 rectangle tubes at 10" length and 1/4" flat rectangle plates with four holes on the corner. If adding frame-kickers you would want to have at least two on each slider, but three per slider is preferred.
In summary, instead of you having to visit your local steel yard and purchase 2"x6" tubes (if they have it in stock) then spend all those hours welding the ends and trying to form a slider then prepping for install only to end up with a basic slider, you'll buy from us and receive our double tapered smooth ends with the high lift jacking points all prepped ready to weld up to your vehicle. These lower door panels are NOT meant to stop a boulder from crushing your door if you happen to slam into one. They're meant to replace the ugly cladding on the Laredo models. Best part about it other than looks and protection; if you scratch it, it can be removed, sanded and repainted for a new look at any given time and it's easier to resurface/repaint this panel instead of repairing your door.

Select this option if you need a sold rear steel bumper with recovery points and tow hitch. Our bumper replaces your factory tow hitch with a heavier duty tow hitch. Deluxe: Rear bumper w/ integrated tow hitch, recovery points and empty swing out. Select this option if you need the bumper and an empty swing out to mount your own accessories. We mount our accessories by drilling and tapping the swing out tube. Premium:Rear bumper w/ integrated tow hitch, recovery points and tire carrier swing out which is built to swing open towards drivers side. The Construction
If your evap canister is located behind the driver side rear wheel well, you'll have to relocate it. There are multiple writeups on Jeep Forum where and how to relocate it.

!!!The swing out DOES NOT rattle! If you know me and how I design and build, if this thing rattled it would have been discarded. For the swing out prototype I used a 1,000lbs spindle, a spring loaded pin and a standard latch to lock it. That's what I had in stock when I built it so I rolled with it. Although it passed testing, I'm not a fan of the standard spindle you see in the photos. The final production model will have a double sheer hinge with bearings. The locking latch also has a pin slot for maximum guarantee it can't unlatch and swing open while driving. I've seen other tire swing outs open while offroading and couldn't believe the designers did not take that into consideration!
The bottom of the bumper is one piece 3/16 thick plate from fender to fender. The tow hitch is constructed of 3/16 square tube (2"x2"x.188 wall). The center receiver is 1/4" thick from Curt manufacturing and welded through the 2" cross member. The shackle tabs are welded in through the cross member and the frame rail mounting plates. The frame-rail mounting plates are 3/16 thick, are cnc bent and have gussets welded for additional reinforcement. The tow hitch construction is welded to the bottom pate of the bumper. The upper center section and side wings are constructed from 10-gauge plates.

Replaces factory tow hitch with heavy duty hitch construction and welded through 3/4" thick recovery shackle tabs. The tow hitch construction and shackle tab recovery points are welded through one another. See photos for example

Built in skid resistant corner steps with reverse dimpled steel
can be built with-out the corner steps if you don't need them. We'll simply cover them with additional plating like it was never there, but they'll still be there, you just won't see them
Reverse dimpled plate near quarter panel provides additional step to access roof (for us short folk, you tall folk don't have the need for this but it's there)
Can be built without the reverse dimpled plate near the quarter panel, we'll just replace the dimpled plate with a solid flat plate. You have choices
Mounts to six factory tow hitch mounting points under frame-rail plus four upper unibody pinch seam mounting points (drilling required - 4 holes). Ten mounting points total. The upper four mounting points are next to the tail-light which is the unibody pinch seam. With six bolts under the frame rail and 4 bolts on the upper portion of the bumper, it has a solid mounting pattern. No need to drop fuel tank or tank skid plate
Some minor trimming and folding of rear unibody cross member is required and simple to do. See photos of Bash hammering in that section using a 4-lbs sledge
Not compatible with the evap canister located behind the wheel well. Either relocate the evap canister or request us to cut the bumper to clear your evap canister prior to shipment - no charge, we'll chop it for you
Testing phases prior to release:
Banging, slamming, scraping, some more slamming bumper on boulders through rough terrain at Couger Buttes in Southern California. Testing for movement of bumper from mounting points, tweaks in the plates or construction, denting, bending etc. = Testing Phase Complete - Passed
575lbs tongue weight Shock force testing on the receiver hitch - Passed
Swing out is tested to 235-lbs from Los Angeles California to Table Mesa Arizona, through the trails of Upper & Lower Terminator, Judgement Day and back to Los Angeles. The swing out hinge, latch and lock pin is solid.
Class III Tow Hitch Certification - Out for certification. Estimated time for completion is end of May. As of April 2nd, 2024, the hitch is not yet certified as a class III tow hitch until it completes its certification testing process. The tow hitch on this bumper is designed and built stronger than the factory hitch but I can not advise you to tow on public roads. Until the certification process is complete, the tow hitch construction is labeled as "Offroad Recovery Use ONLY". Tow at your own risk and discretion.
